Remain Incomplete: So fascinating & hurtful! I loved this talk. Thank you! My grandmothers funeral plans were never honored. And I struggled with it for years.

Automation is going to take your jobs. Your going to accept it or not is your problem.

WE NEED AN UGLY WALL!!!
Sadly i'm a faceless factory worker waiting for my robot, also working for GE so the corperate speak and circlejerk is strong here. Christmas party and there are dudes on stage talking 4h about how great that year was... "brilliant"! Free beer and wine though, so that was nice. -

On the contrary... it is necessary.
-
I prefer machines more then most of humanity.

There is nothing more beautiful than a working robot. The complexity brings tears to my eyes.
Machines rule. Deal with it. -
These are also the qualities for a good story : have unnecessary scenes - let your characters have fun, even if it doesn't move the plot, make them somewhat ugly to remain relatable, create intimacy between the characters to make the story go deeper, and remain incomplete - as in, without leaving major plot holes, leave small questions unanswered that may spark meaningful conversations about life between the readers, essentially having your story go beyond the pages and into everyday life. Just thought I'd share that ok bai

Ugly rooms and profit sharing isn't going to stop automation, and leaving your company imperfect and messy is fine if you have zero competition. For everyone else, it's a great attitude if you plan to go out of business. Seriously, some TED talks are just exercises in feel-good talking.

I wish Turkish translate. We watching you from Turkey...

Why do you want companies to remain "human" so badly? There is so much convertion of human workers to machines and programs for a reason. Machines and softwares are already better than humans in many fields. Like you admitted yourself, they are more efficient. The comstumers may like beauty, but they won't buy things that are beautiful but inefficient.
But it's not all. The workers will only benefit from being replaced by machines, because they will no longer need to work. They will have as much free time as they will want. And they won't need money - nobody will - because in a world where everything is produced by automatic machines, no product will cost anything. -
I'm vegan.

The only good thing about this talk was Messi and the last line, maybe.

Nah tired of humans and their PC bullshit. Bring on the machines, we need more of them!
In the face of artificial intelligence and machine learning, we need a new radical humanism, says Tim Leberecht. For the self-described "business romantic," this means designing organizations and workplaces that celebrate authenticity instead of efficiency and questions instead of answers. Leberecht proposes four (admittedly subjective) principles for building beautiful organizations.
