Any ideas on which software he's using for presentation?

:D that's great for you lol, I already said, it's cool if you say so. If you really knew any actual science, then you would never say this. But OK, like I said, you are right. Keep being the smartest one of all, bro. I hope it works out for you well.

Let me give you an example, if I know medical science and I dont need to know your "medical history", I can test you for aids and tell if you have aids or not. What you dont know is that humans are govern by rules just like your body acts a certain way, I dont need to know history because I know the science which is more valuable.....
-
lol... if you say so.

they dont represent "the people" all the wealth in this country comes from freedom, freedom to sell who you want to, and we all benefit from that. I believe in private property, but that doesnt give you the right to beat your kids to death just cause you own a home. You cant name a country that is wealth right now, and did not have its start to wealth begin with trading with the US. "history" is not valuable as you think it is, science is, theres a "huge" difference.

I don't think it's OK to wage any kind of war, and I don't think it's OK to interfere into anyone else's business, be it war or otherwise. You wouldn't like it if someone interfered in your own business, no matter what it would be - your professional career, your faith and culture, or your dispute with your first neighbour. That's your business, and nobody else's. As for the history - or any other - lessons being "bullshit", that's an opinion I respectfully disagree with.
-
The value of knowledge is determined by people in society, I rather people get to know each other than go to college to learn some bullshit history lesson. Its not illegal for people to get a business license and start helping each other, better to spend 10k on a small business than go to college to make money. College has a place in society, but its place is not getting people "financial stability". But wars dont help, but neither is letting those countries "do what they want" help either

*your *people *don't *ferraries I'm sorry if I caused a misunderstanding, though. I never said or thought anything that would be in conflict with the point you are trying to make. I'm not saying one *needs* college to be smarter or more educated, but it sure as heck helps. And wasting resources on waging wars, rather than improving the education system sure as heck doesn't help.
-
" Because that would actually make people *smarter* " that was you're straw-man, thinking that you need to college to be *smarter*. Dumb ppl are *worthless* they don build ferraris or mansions, spending money on wars (not that I agreed with that) is NOT the same thing as spending money on education, you cant buy "being valuable", you have to "earn" it. Stop being so senile.
-
*you're and no, I don't think that schools and colleges have any "monopoly", nor have I ever said that... nice strawman, bro.
-
your sad if you think schools and colleges have a monopoly on "education". Whens the last time you bought something and said "item B is better than item A but the person who made item A went to college so I will buy that!".....dumbass
-
@anfedorov so? if USA can spend that amount of money on waging wars, why wouldn't they be able to spend it on education? Oh, right, I forgot. Because that would actually make people *smarter* than most conservative political and religious organisations would like.

10 disgruntled individuals failed their exams! It's okay: rewind this video, and repeat 100 times in the comments: "I must open my mind to new and creative ways of learning."

Loveed it....a beautiful way to teach kids about manipulating(programming) machines and as a result learning science.
-
So dull
-
Well...this was interesting until he started talking about his idiotic computer.
-
yes, you're right. (i did that at 5 a.m., that's my only excuse ;-), so no, I will not bang my head on the wall this time (: ) I forgot to divide by 8 4320/8 = 540 min = 9 hrs
-
Hm, I dunno, I don't get that math at the end. I agree 30 days = 43,200mins. We can agree we spend $8bill/month. So then, take $8billion DIVIDE by 43,200min EQUALS $185.2K which means we spend a bit over $185,000 per minute in Iraq. I take that and multiply it by 9hours (or 540minutes to be exact) and get approximately $100million (the answer we were looking for)! But in either case, war isn't as expensive as 100mil/18min nor is it as cheap as 100mil/3days. No? Thanx for calculating with me :)

http://www.ted.com With all the intensity and brilliance he is known for, Alan Kay gives TEDsters a lesson in lessons. Kay has spent years envisioning better techniques for teaching kids. In this talk, after reminding us that "the world is not what it seems," he shows us how good programming can sharpen our picture. His unique software lets children learn by doing, but also learn by computing and by creating lessons themselves.
"...children are the future..."
but with a $400 crappy lappy there will be no future! I see future in a $5 Rapberry PI Zero.
