thanks for sharing this video. Are all shops open after midnight? we'll be in Helsinki next month going to Ivalo however, we'll be stuck in the airport after midnight till morning. Not quite sure if sleeping pods are available in the airport. Cheers :)

Great video! Btw next time you are in helsinki and you are leaving from T2. Just after the main entrance, turn right, there you can see an escalator (or normal stairs i dont remember which one haha) go up, there is a "hidden" security control what never has waiting lines (no one knows this) so go there next time, sometimes its closed tho'

Have to agree with you that the smaller compact size of the airport is a good thing, and in our opinion the short transit walks are a strength for this airport and Finnair in the very competitive "Hub" market! They got plenty of old airplanes and even an old Finnair plane. :-D -

We are at Helsinki Vantaa Airport in Finland. This i a short tour inside the airport where we begin at the Finnair Check-in area in Terminal 2, move down to the check-in area for all flights (also in Terminal 2), where the Junkers A50 aircraft (registration OH-ABB) flown by Finnish aviation pioneer Väinö Bremer hangs on display. From this are we move back to the Finnair check-in area and check in at the Priority Check-in area as our Finnair flight to day is on Business Class. This also means that we will not be passing through the economy class security check but through the Premium Security Control. We then continue our tour in the departures hall where we give viewers a tour through some of the airport highlighting some of the Duty Free shops, specialty shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and cocktail bars available for passengers to visit at Helsinki Vantaa Airport. The tour ends close to the passport control area where gates 32-40 are located, this is the area for long-haul flights and flights to non-Schengen countries.
