This is so very interesting. It proves the reason I have suspected all along for why I always get sick about two weeks into my visits with my son's family and grandkids. Always! He is in the military and has lived in many homes, and everytime I get sick about 2 weeks into my visit with the same exact symptoms of a 'cold'

This is so interesting! I always thought that the way person looks it the mirror of their lifestyle. And seeing people living together I've noticed that they start to not only behave alike, but have similar body types:) I didn't give it much thought, until now.

Im 130 pounds and live in a house with 3 overweight people and 2 of my closer friends are obese. I actually watch what I eat tho. So I think its just like children that are raised by diabetics. They pass on their eating habits. The bacteria thing is really interesting tho. I may read up on it

My husband has Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency also known as G6PD. They say it is incurable! I wholly believe in nutritional healing via a plant base, vegan diet, but beans, soy and lentils are some of the main triggers they say he must avoid! Would a vegan diet alleviate the oxidative stress enough to balance the consumption of beans & lentls??? I need some serious help addressing this!!! The conventional Dr.s have been useless.

And again, dogs are the winners :)
Go vegan and adopt dogge dog <3 -
Probably, because dogs tend to lick people more than cats do?

Hopefully he starts the fasting videos soon.

You are 100% responsible for what goes in your mouth. You cannot catch obesity like the common cold. To suggest otherwise is pure bunk. Yes, different environments harbour different bacteria - that is obvious. That humans and dogs sharing the same same environment share similar bugs is equally obvious. That cats' behaviour is markedly different and therefore do not share the same bugs is also common sense. This video is beneath Dr. Greger's usual standard to say the least.
Subscribe to Dr. Greger’s free nutrition newsletter at http://www.nutritionfacts.org/subscribe and get a free excerpt from his latest NYT Bestseller HOW NOT TO DIE. (All proceeds Dr. Greger receives from his books, DVDs, and speaking go to charity). DESCRIPTION: Given the role our gut bacteria can play in affecting our weight, having family and friends who are obese may not just be socially contagious but actually contagious. The earlier video I mentioned was Are Cats or Dogs More Protective for Children’s Health? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/are-cats-or-dogs-more-protective-for-childrens-health). Viruses may also play a role in obesity. See Infectobesity: Adenovirus 36 and Childhood Obesity (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/infectobesity-adenovirus-36-and-childhood-obesity/). An Obesity Causing Chicken Virus (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/obesity-causing-chicken-virus) may help explain the link found between poultry consumption and weight gain (see Chicken Big: Poultry and Obesity (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/chicken-big-poultry-and-obesity)). The important question is Can Morbid Obesity Be Reversed Through Diet? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/can-morbid-obesity-be-reversed-through-diet). That’s why I made the video!
