Stipe Ćurković Editor-in-Chief of Le Monde diplomatique Croatia and active member of the Centre for Labour Studies. He's a theorist, activist, journalist and translator. His theoretical and political interests, are primarily in Marxism, with an emphasis on political economy, and issues of ideology and representation of social processes in post-socialist societies. He published in Zarez, Borec, Perspektiven and on Slobodni Filozofski. Walter Baier Joined the Communist Party in 1972. In 1987 he was in the Politburo. In 1991 and 1994 he was the federal secretary elected chairman of the Communist Party. Besides his work in the party he held until 2003, the function of the editor of the weekly voice of the people. In 2004, on the 33rd Congress of the CPA Baier was for the fourth time elected as Chairman of the Communist Party. In 2005 Baier graduated from the Vienna University with a doctorate in economics. In 2006 he announced his resignation from the post of party chairman. Since 2006 he is the coordinator of the European research and education network 'transform! European network for alternative thinking and political dialogue' that consists from 16 magazines and 'think tanks' formed in 13 European countries. He is the editor of the same name magazine that's being published in five languages. He represents this network in the International Council of the World Social Forum (WSF).
