I would say I adhere to most of what Marx outlined in The Communist Manifesto but wouldn't say I'm a communist. I think the core tenets of socialism (universal health care, free education, subsidized housing etc) applied in a democracy is probably the best way to enjoy what he spoke of so strongly. It cannot be denied that communism has, by and large, failed in all of it's applications throughout history. Capitalism is really not that far behind, however, in terms of inequality and wealth distribution.

Marx's ideas were taken out of context by dictators

Less Marx! More Mises!

Marx was a bum who leached off of others and never paid his debts.
Your video portrays him in an adoring light yet wherever his ideas are implemented you end up with mass murder and starvation. I've heard that lame excuse "Oh, they just didn't do it right." Rubbish, it goes against human nature and cannot work.
The results show it all. Take a look at a night time satellite photo of North and South Korea and see for yourself the difference between Capitalism and Marxism. -
But how would a society without workers work? Somebody needs to produce and deliver food and goods to the people.

“The only critique of a philosophy that is possible and that proves something, namely trying to see whether one can live in accordance with it, has never been taught at universities: all that has ever been taught is a critique of words by means of other words.”

it might sound good for lazy people, but gues what... IT DOES NOT WORK

This is a wonderful tool for teaching the horrors of Marxist ideologies. Simply contrast this deluded fantasy of Marxism against the reality of it. I'm sure that if we could only ask a North Korean standing in a bread line, they would tell us how much better their lives are because they don't have to worry about crises of abundance.

More Marx videos ,please ))

we need to be Marxists?! fuq da fuq off.. indoctrination brainwashing shit.

If you really break this down point by point it makes 0 sense. Contradictions galore. Competition is good for everyone, unemployment isn't

ugh sure we can currently give everyone a house and a car and everything for free but no time in history were we able to do that, why? because capitalism gave us a way to create tons of resources and goods which in hand are sold to the workers who helped produce economy by working and the good thing about being expendable is that the ones who work the hardest work so they can look more valuable to to boss compared to other employees while in communism all workers are promised a job regardless on how hard they try and that in hand is horrible for the economy. COMMUNISM IS A DREAM AND ISN'T EVEN GOOD IN THEORY. the only reason communism fails is because its so bad at making economy the leaders of the country become corrupt and keep the most money to them self making the population of said communist country poor. i heard this ideology out... it has holes and is unrealistic and it has proven its self a failure time after time. god bless capitalism.

Marx's ideas would kill the American dream. Mr. CEO would make as much as the lazy worker who does nothing but play grab ass all day. He promotes laziness and being rewarded for it. Suddenly communism doesn't feel so special does it? Whereas with capitalism, you have the opportunity of advancement and profit to make a better living for yourself. It promotes wanting more people to reach their full potential from a financial standpoint, rather than being lazy while getting paid to do it. Capitalism is what makes America Great and Communism is what makes countries like Venezuela a disaster because that's what communism does. It destroys countries.

So, who gets to work and who gets "freedom?"
-
What do you think of universal basic income?
-
Marx was right ! Look at our societies now..... selfish bourgeois , swags, luxury bullshit , bitches , over production of useless stuff and so on .... And still people are not happy, millions maybe billion of earth population are starving.... Peace

capitalism is inevitable. It goes with human history in all the times.
the only solution is to collect the taxes from the rich ones. -
"modern work does not give personal fulfilment" well i suppose technicians, scientists, physicians, doctors, therapists, psychologists, mathematicians, entrepreneurs etc would all disagree with that
-
Marxz is fucking stupid, the vast majority of people do not like working or would atleast not work close to as hard as they would under capitalism if there not being rewarded for working
-
brace yourselves. butthurt pinkos looking for validation after fleeing from "a heartless, uncaring world" (ie work) are coming.
Karl Marx remains deeply important today not as the man who told us what to replace capitalism with, but as someone who brilliantly pointed out certain of its problems. The School of Life, a pro-Capitalist institution, takes a look. If you like our films, take a look at our shop (we ship worldwide): https://goo.gl/O1tWri FURTHER READING “Most people agree that we need to improve our economic system somehow. It threatens our planet through excessive consumption, distracts us with irrelevant advertising, leaves people hungry and without healthcare, and fuels unnecessary wars. Yet we’re also often keen to dismiss the ideas of its most famous and ambitious critic, Karl Marx. This isn’t very surprising. In practice, his political and economic ideas have been used to design disastrously planned economies and nasty dictatorships. Frankly, the remedies Marx proposed for the ills of the world now sound a bit demented. He thought we should abolish private property. People should not be allowed to own things. At certain moments one can sympathise. But it’s like wanting to ban gossip or forbid watching television. It’s going to war with human behaviour. And Marx believed the world would be put to rights by a dictatorship of the proletariat; which does not mean anything much today. Openly Marxist parties received a total of only 1,685 votes in the 2010 UK general election, out of the nearly 40 million ballots cast…” You can read more on this and many other topics on our blog TheBookofLife.org at this link: https://goo.gl/Rt3zri MORE SCHOOL OF LIFE Our website has classes, articles and products to help you think and grow: https://goo.gl/93tGtZ Watch more films on POLITICAL THEORY in our playlist: http://bit.ly/2dma0Sn Do you speak a different language to English?
