In 2016, I treated five peyote cacti (legal in Canada) with silver solution and the intent of creating super alkaloidal amines, amino acids, non-proteinic acids, phenylethamines, and isoquinolines for future research into its possible antibiotic action(s). All that I require for the extraction of my dried and powdered peyote is a facility with a High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography Machine to do it. I have made requests to labs, both nationally and internationally and all have refused to do so or remain silent. If my hunch plays out that the antibiotic properties of both plant and mineral will introduce a whole new class of terpentines and/or triterpentines with which to research with and develop new drugs. All that I ask for is the right to have my peyote tested. Refusing me is to ready yourselves to the upcoming post antibiotic era with hopelessness. Time is running out and we have so little left.

Thanks for your presentation, sir! It was a great honour to meet you on ESC this year!

it won't be far when everyone will behave like sheldon cooper, a hypochondriac wearing masks everywhere.

I suppose the real problem is we've used antibiotics as a handicap, we're behind in giving our immune system a chance to evolve as well, or maybe not who knows till we know.
-
A related problem is that treatments are stopped to early due to a lack of funds this helps diseases like Tuberculosis in particular as it requires relativly long continues treatment.
-
Use antibiotics as a last result and if you ever use it, make sure you finish the whole thing, so that bacteria won''t develop resistance.
-
This is a very serious problem that affects all of us because we've created a hidden monsters. We have to be many step a head so that we don't lose against nature.
-
this is what i dont get...the alternative is what?...not taking antibiotics because even if we took it responsibly, even minimuly, we would only be slowing the process of viruses, bacteria adapting to them so we would be passing the buck to the next generation no matter what if we use antibiotics....so the only alternative is no antiobiotics so basically 30-40 year lifespan like past generations.damned if you do damned if you dont.

how much would it cost to cowardante a 1 week where everyone stays home of if they work in the healthcare industry to stay at work for a day because in 1 week you could end flu and some person to person virious because it only survives by transmiting if it cant transmit it will die out and cure the flu right? feed back please

Mayo Clinic published a report saying close to 96% of sinusitis issues are fungus related, yet almost every single ENT doctor prescribes antibiotics. I am not in any medical field, yet I see things done in the medical industry, that appear to be done just to make profits alone. I have never fully trusted doctors because of articles I read, personal experiences and the astronomical prices. I do think technology will provide treatments, I just hope we will afford the costs.

$£€¥₩? Can we leave money out this is sad to think that we need to jack price up to save lifes. We should educat more, lol this idea will not maje money for those drugs company but it will save lifes regardless of rich or the poor. I know I going to reply form many say I am an idiot and so on but I believe knowledge and education will fix the problem we facing in the world.

So with the upcoming US/EU Tradeagreements, basicly both sides would largly import the bacteria with resistances ... thanks but no thanks. Good that the topics of these agreements are public and open to read right?

What - flu vaccine? Antibiotics are of no use for treating flu, - when will they suddenly realise that overuse of vaccinations may be causing the same problems.
No mention of cultivating a good immune system, the only real solution. -
(8:15) Even in a lecture ABOUT antibiotic abuse, we can't talk about the fact that The Flu is a virus and not a bacteria -- thus the antibiotic has no effect. He'll mention that Flu season drives this abuse skyward, but refuses to say specifically that antibiotics have no effect on the flu. In fact, later on (12:50), he actually lists antibiotic resistant viruses as a problem facing the world.
He also talks about flu vaccinations but fails to reveal that flu vaccines only innoculate you against four to eight of the millions of strains of flu in the world, and are localized to your specific area (meaning if you travel then your shot is worthless to you). Gotta make that dough, baby! -
This guy certainly drank the Kool-Aid regarding climate change. Hasn't the climate always been changing ? Didn't we have what was described as a mini ice age during the revolutionary war. They spoke of New York harbor being frozen solid. Then like 8 tears latter there was a heat wave that killed more British soldiers that bullets ? These liberal professors have convinced our young that we are destroying the planet. That social justice means Americans should consume less and all manner of bullshit. I've enjoyed having plenty. It's terrible that so many are dying daily from a lack of potable water. We could solve that problem and might even be able to feed everyone. At some point the global population has to be looked at as there are just too many people. I've no idea how we deal with that one, I fear someday the government will step in and say people can live until they're 65. Except government officials of course. Idk but I see larger problems than CO2. The antibiotics being overused for years nay lead to that super bug that kills half of us.
-
Did I hear that right? Seasonal flu is the reason that antibiotics are being over used? As a parent not a doctor, I'm always told that the flu is a virus so antibiotics would not be used? Or did I miss something?

The US government has funded research for all manner of medicine, including antibacterial drugs. In some cases the patents has simply been simply given to private companies which then make billions on overprice medication. Medicine and medical treatment IS A HUMAN RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE FOR THE RICH. The entire idea is barbaric, murderous, and immoral.
Antibiotic drugs save lives. But we simply use them too much — and often for non-lifesaving purposes, like treating the flu and even raising cheaper chickens. The result, says researcher Ramanan Laxminarayan, is that the drugs will stop working for everyone, as the bacteria they target grow more and more resistant. He calls on all of us (patients and doctors alike) to think of antibiotics — and their ongoing effectiveness — as a finite resource, and to think twice before we tap into it. It’s a sobering look at how global medical trends can strike home.
