Bravisimo! From beginning to end. No judgement, no blame, no easy answers just real humanity and the condition of we must live and die with.

When you leave God's laws, Satan opens the red carpet for you. Satan is the deceiver, so you also deceive as Satan, then you are lost for ever. Your partner will NEVER look at you with the same look again. Humans that cannot control their feelings will not care if it is crossing the limit or not as they do not have limits. People who wants to be respected by their partner, children and soceity will control their emotions and set limits. It is not only in marriages, but this happens also in businesses also. Cheaters are in many people, except in real humans.

Something about the fear of loss will rekindle desire and make way for an entirely new kind of truth. Brilliant.

This is absolutely disgusting. No one should be cheating

That was a great talk. It's a complete and objective look at infidelity with a great understanding of it.

"Infidelity is the ultimate betrayal, but does it have to be"... Yes. Loyal and trust are probably more important now than they have ever been. She said it herself that we think we can do better and simply move on, like buying new pants. We are so entitled to everything that it's become political.
Would you have an army that isn't loyal, That you can't trust? If you were a police officer how confident would you be going to work and knowing the next you make might show up late or not at all. If there is a problem I think it's more important for fix rather than just looking away to something else. Long term relationships won't be easy and yes we get bored but if you're in it for the long haul then, get off the train because someone else would prefer your spot. Communication is important and if you can't tell your wife/husband/bf/gf what you want then why bother being there if you're just going to be miserable, cheat, and then ruin someone else's life with your mistake. -

She says that it can be a personal issue, rather than what the other person is lacking or doing/not doing, and not because the cheater is a selfish, evil person. Then what kind of personal issue would have them cheat? Just the boring same lifestyle? Having everything they wanted and now seeing them meaningless? The fact that they still chose to cheat and not communicate with their important other means they are incredibly selfish and mean. People cheat because they are selfish. Period. Even if that person is the victim of their marriage, cheating is still selfish. If you feel so victimized, get out. End it. Not drag the relationship and cheat on them for your relief. That is selfish in any way.
And personal issues can be much more easily dealt with communicating with their spouse not cheating.
I thought she was going somewhere original with this but no. It's same ol same: Communicate with your partner on the deepest level possible, whether the issue is personal, the other person or whatever. -
It's the bogus societal pressure for monogamy that creates cheating. Cheating is a non-issue in ethically non-monogamous relationships, which are about real trust.

*when you cheat on your husband and go to profound lengths to justify it
Infidelity is the ultimate betrayal. But does it have to be? Relationship therapist Esther Perel examines why people cheat, and unpacks why affairs are so traumatic: because they threaten our emotional security. In infidelity, she sees something unexpected — an expression of longing and loss. A must-watch for anyone who has ever cheated or been cheated on, or who simply wants a new framework for understanding relationships.
