Am 02.02.2014 wurde um 10:04 Uhr der AfE-Turm in Frankfurt gesprengt. 950 kg Sprengstoff waren nötig, um das 1972 erbaute Gebäude zum Einsturz zu bringen. Es war mit 116 Metern das höchste Gebäude, das in Europa bis dato gesprengt wurde. Die Sprengung wurde durch die Fa. Reisch Sprengtechnik durchgeführt und verlief nach Plan. Das Video zeigt Aufnahmen aus dem Marriott-Hotel, auch in Zeitlupe, und aus einem Innenhof der Goethe-Universität.
