The crystal switch in the Palace of Darkness: I always hucked a bomb at it and ran past the blocks before they rose.

the "loop back around after hitting the switch" iirc can be bypassed by throwing a bomb instead of a pot, can't it?

Is it a bad thing that the more linear the zelda game is, the more I enjoy it? I just don't like the feeling of wandering around wondering what to do next for an hour.

6:20 wait, you hit the switch, then go to the previous room, then all the way around, and then back up? I always just tossed a bomb on the switch, then ran past the blue blocks, then I was done with it.

What I think gives the feeling of exploration is the getting lost. I got so lost in all these dungeons despite the maps XD

6:35 or just throw a bomb like I always do. This is the good part in some Zelda games, creativity and variety of possibilities.
