This is brain candy. This is very easy to hear. We all want to believe that we can improve ourselves, when in reality, some people are just smarter than others by default. You see a lot of "improvement's" in children because they have neuro-plasticity. Their brains are already developing, and they are easily influenced by their environment. What would be really useful is a study done with adult participants. That would really show the truth about how much "potential" we humans really have. You can change your mindset, and put in "effort," but that doesn't make you smarter.

Fucking school didn't teach me any of this. I hate how they spend all this money trying to make you have good grades and the teachers say "I want you to succeed" but they don't teach you fundamentals of learning.
If you're reading this: I want you to read (or look into the summary of) a book called: The Talent Code.
This talk has its foundations in what the book discusses about how the brain learns and how skills develop. Simply amazing. -
Thank you Carol for your amazing presentation and the lively energy you possess.

the growth mindset is describing all my way of being, My brain's capacity to learn and to solve problems is outstanding. I have found the scientific answer, always I begin as the worse but, in the end I ranked the first at the school.

Hmm, i thought that everyone could learn new things, but their intelligence will forever be there. Your learning capability never changes. It will remain the same.

NICE VIDEO. IT WAS SO GOOD. YOUR VOICE MAKES ME WANT TO KILL MYSELF.
Carol Dweck researches “growth mindset” — the idea that we can grow our brain's capacity to learn and to solve problems. In this talk, she describes two ways to think about a problem that’s slightly too hard for you to solve. Are you not smart enough to solve it … or have you just not solved it yet? A great introduction to this influential field.
