I think her speech was very beautiful and inspiring.
-
She is like this because of Western culture not because of Islam. Imagine if she is born in an Islamic country, she would be oppressed as the rest of them.
Islam produces oppresive, violent and dishonest societies, that has been proven over 1400 years. -
Why she is not on the topic?
-
Any woman who follows Islam by choice is a disgrace to their gender. Women born into Sharia law don't have a choice.
-
Women have equal rights in Islam and her speech was great. i just can't understand why it so difficult for people(men) to accept women's role in religion and society.

Great lesson

If you really think that we are being controlled by our religion is wrong. We choose this way. We choose to cover up ourselves. We choose to be devoted to our husband and his family. We choose to follow the rules in our religion.
We never questioned your religion. It's our faith. We as a human is still learning. If we ever stop learning then it will be like you guys. Judging us without knowing the truth. I'm still learning too. I'm still questioning why we can't do this or that in Islam. Because i'm still learning.
There're so many beautiful things that Islam taught.
And i beg to all of you.. don't judge my religion, Islam. My holy book, Qur'an. My prophet Muhammad SAW, and my God, Allah SWT.
If you want to learn it and have a question or reason to denied it then ask question. Don't just judge it because of one resource. -
I wanna nut on her hijab
-
Bless you my chaste bint. Show these ignorant unbelevers the truth.

This didnt say a single thing about what Islam says about women. I didnt hear nything said hear that couldnt be shared be any modern secular woman.
-
Let's talk about what bible says about the women !! its a disaster
-
she didn't say anything about how women are treated in Islam.
she is saying thet god treats women and men equally. then why in Quran it is written that men are given importance than women, women is equal to half of a man in the case of witness and in sharing wealth? and it is written that women are inferior to men and can be beaten by man. it is also written that women are fields of men and men can come into them as they want which justifies raping wives. what is this all? are these things telling that women are equal in the eyes of Allah? if u dont believe than study quraan. these things which i mention are 100% in quran. she didn't talk about all these things and just saying god treats women and men equally. is this correct? i am an atheist and i know how all religious beliefs fooling man kind. -
This is terrible. I don't think all Muslims are monsters. I don't have that type of thinking, but don't try to sell me on the idea that most women simply thrive under Islam and that everything's amazing. Bye girl
-
Like i expected from every muslims, they don't want to talk about what the Quran verses or Hadiths say about women.
-
it is up to you
live your life as u want ! -
Recently I looked up the English translation to the Quran. This app shows translations of each verse by different people and each one differed a little. Essentially we can infer that the Quran is not translated correctly and people always misunderstand it and make stupid claims making it look bad. You will never truly UNDERSTAND this book unless you learn Arabic yourself.
Alaa Murabit's family moved from Canada to Libya when she was 15. Before, she’d felt equal to her brothers, but in this new environment she sensed big prohibitions on what she could accomplish. As a proud Muslim woman, she wondered: was this really religious doctrine? With humor, passion and a refreshingly rebellious spirt, she shares how she discovered examples of female leaders from across the history of her faith — and how she launched a campaign to fight for women's rights using verses directly from the Koran.
